Community Wide Events and Activities

Get Connected

As an au pair (and as a parent!) it can be useful to join local groups to connect with other people who are getting out and doing things with their kids! Remember it is completely ok to join groups on facebook etc. but you should not post photos, names, ages, etc. of your host kids! You can still interact online and post, comment, ask questions etc. to get involved with the community!

These groups are all great for getting information about local happenings, like library story times, walking meetups, swimming meetups, etc.

With your host family’s permission, you can also post and propose a meetup for an activity if you’d like to! It’s a great way to practice your English, get to know other people in the area, and pass the time doing something fun for your host kids.

With your host children

Au pairs and host families can review this list together and can use it as a guide to determine which types of activities will be a good fit.

Just because an activity is listed here does not mean that your host family will be comfortable with it!
